#2079: Selena Owens

Selena Owens is a one-time vice chair of the Conservative Campaign Committee PAC, columnist for WND and precisely what you would expect from someone in that position (here is her 2014 defense of Sarah Palin). For instance, Owens has argued that the 2014 ALS Ice Bucket Challenge was a “Satanic Ritual”, a “cultic” and “sacrilegious” activity that unwitting people are lured into by nefarious powers. In particular, pouring ice water over yourself as part of the challenge is “a form of water baptism with cultic god Oprah,” and its Satanic connection should be a surprise to no one since “whenever spectators watch singers like Beyonce, JayZ, Rihanna, Lady Gaga and especially Nicki Minaj, they are indoctrinated and involved with blatantly satanic rituals that stem from the deep abyss of the occult.” Apparently, Owens got the idea from deranged End-Times prophet and conspiracy theorist Anita Fuentes, who is not a good source of information.

It is probably not particularly surprising to learn that Owens is no fan of gay marriage or gay people in general either. In 2014, for instance, she called the mass weddings at the Grammys “an assault on conservatives” since conservatives got to see gay people being happy.

Diagnosis: Moron. Evil, stupid, angry and paranoid, which makes her perfect for the WND, of course.
